Sep. 7th, 2011 07:24 pmI suppose this is a belated apology for having missed the first day of class. I had an... accident, but there's no permanent damage. So, no need to worry!
Oh, for the love of...why is it yellow? You can hardly see it! I'm sorry, my ink seems to be having a malfunction.
In any case, things are much better, now. I've had a lovely time, it more than makes up for missing the first day. The first years are just precious, especially the ones hopping on brooms for the first time. I haven't had to catch anyone to avoid a broken bone, yet, so that's a wonderful sign.
And, good luck to everyone trying out for the Quidditch teams this week! If anyone needs anything, tips or tricks or what have you, I'm sure I can free up some time.

Aug. 27th, 2011 01:52 amSan Fransisco was lovely, but it's time to go back to England. School's starting up, and I've got to be there early. It's still a little bizarre, thinking that I'm not there to learn, I'm there to teach.
I suppose I should go pack. It should be easy, I've been living out of my trunk all summer, after all. Although, I should get some nicer things to replace the uniform.

Aug. 6th, 2011 05:31 pmAt exactly one year ago today, I was dead. Down to the minute.
It was only for a few moments, but it's amazing how much can change in just a year. Dead to alive. In love, to not, more than once. From Monaco, to England, to America. From a double, no, a triple life, to just the one. Hogwarts student to Hogwarts staff...from daddy's little angel to an awkward stranger. Things can change so fast. There are still a few years left, who knows how things will end up, then?
That incident, the one with the dying, it was quite the wake-up call for me. The thing about waking up, though, is that eventually, you have to go back to sleep. If you don't, then you start to break down, you don't function properly.
I don't think that's anything to be ashamed of. I was always much happier asleep, and so was everyone around me. So, just for a little while, then.

Aug. 1st, 2011 06:57 pmIt's been a lovely week, surprisingly! Ministry incompetence aside, things might be looking up. I had a wonderful date, and found plenty of things to keep me occupied. Did you know that there's a fight club right here in London? I just watched. Of course. That didn't make it any less fascinating, it was one of those no-rules sorts of arrangements where you go until you give up or pass out. There was so much blood, you could almost taste the metal in the air.

Speaking of violence, Jules, how is your face doing?
[Private; Yukimi]
Are you doing any better? I thought I should check up on you.

Jun. 29th, 2011 11:01 pmSummer has been nice, so far. Coming home to somewhere other than Monaco is an interesting change. I feel a lot better without Sebastian badgering me at every turn. It would have been nice if I had the forethought to have him teach me some of the things he does, but I can make do.
I need to go shopping. It's getting nicer out, I think a cute pair of shorts are in order. Not walking around with giant robes all the time is one of the lovely things about living near Muggles. I saw one man punch another in the street! Outside a bar. It was a superman punch, so, so interesting.
I think I'll pick up ice cream, too. Alfred, do you have a flavour preference?

If you still want to know, everything's going to be fine. We're getting everything worked out.
Thank you for allowing me to invade your room for the last couple of weeks.
[Private to Alfred]
Is that offer still valid? I'm not going home yet.
[/Private]
Goodbye, Hogwarts. It's been wonderful. Even after everything, I'm glad I moved here from Beuxbatons. I'll miss it.
Good luck next year, Slytherin. And thank you for the yearbook votes. I'm flattered.

Mar. 30th, 2011 11:14 pmIt was really lovely of the four of you to reverse all of the progress that our Quidditch team made in one night. And then some, even! Just fantastic, I didn't even think it could be done! Brilliant, really. You couldn't have recruited more Gryffindors for your juvenile nonsense?
Come see me, I'll teach you idiots how not to get caught. Just because I won't be here next year doesn't mean I won't be expecting you to win.

Mar. 13th, 2011 09:13 pmMy last Hogwarts Quidditch game in in a week. Funny how the time flies by, isn't it? The days seem long on their own, but when you start to run out, not so much.
In any case, I can honestly say that Slytherin is very well-prepared for the match. Any rumors or worries to the contrary are simply untrue, meaning that I am no longer training a replacement Seeker.
Eridan, how is the broom working for you?

Mar. 3rd, 2011 04:39 pmHello, Hogwarts! Some rotten snake's told me that there's mischief afoot, and so, I thought that it it would be a lovely time for a new game.
It's called,
Which Hogwarts Professor is Sleeping With Students?
And it's simple, really, all you have to do is take a guess. The winner gets ten galleons right out of my pocket, and if they so desire, they can come with me while I turn the person in. I may throw in some chocolate.
First person right wins, so you'd better hurry.

Feb. 26th, 2011 07:23 pmI apologize for my absence. The enormous amount of NEWT-level coursework I've decided to take on had caught up with me. I surely could have dropped a few classes this year, but there's no use bemoaning it.
Halfway through my last year, and graduation still can't seem to come soon enough. As time goes on, I only find more things to despise about this place. I sometimes think I should have stayed in France.
And then I remember that my peers and I would actually be supervised, instead of being watched by a herd of half-drunken hooligans who still have their baby fat, and decided one morning to masquerade as pseudo-authority figures. It's my theory that half the staff were arrested after a bar brawl, the police got lost on the way to the jail, and dropped them all here instead. It's cute. Everything's much more fun when those in charge are more likely to join you in your rule-breaking than punish you for it.

Jan. 31st, 2011 07:27 pmWhat is power, exactly? We tend to think of it as something that bad people seize, but really, it's just given to us by others. Given to us by those who elect us, or those who willfully obey us because we just happen to be older, or our weaker-minded peers that allow themselves to be coerced or conquered. It's the same everywhere for everyone. Those with power have had it given to them.
And yet, it seems that every day, those in power grow less and less competent, does it not? Ineptitude is rampant on every level, from political leaders, to the teachers in our schools. Why don't people contest that more often? Because they're in charge, and we fear retribution? Well, here's a secret: they're only in charge because we believe that they are in charge. If you don't allow anyone to tell you what to do, they're not telling you what to do anymore, they're merely making a suggestion. Reassigning power isn't a difficult thing, really.
Just food for thought~

Jan. 28th, 2011 11:53 pmAre the unattached masses really so insecure about it that they have to be fretting over Saint Valentine's already? By having the forethought to insist that you don't care two weeks ahead of time, you're being contradictory. And of course, mind-numbingly irritating.
As for me, I only wish that I could be home for it. My father tends to brood.

Sep. 19th, 2010 12:26 amBesides the start of Quidditch practice, it's been a fairly quiet week. I suppose that's for the best, but it makes the time spent off the pitch even more boring in comparison to what it used to be. Even the homework is too easy. When is the final year stress going to appear, I wonder?
Oh, but back to Quidditch - Slytherin, a few of your brooms are shoddy or on their last legs. I've left a catalog on each of your doors, pick one and I'll get it for you. I've highlighted some suggestions, but you're smart enough to be able to handle it, no?
...my father says good luck this year, Matthew.
((ooc: Hey Quidditch players! You might notice first-years lurking at your practices. They may or may not be in your house, but if not they will be hiding their colors. If your character is one to suspect, then by all means do.))

Sep. 6th, 2010 06:07 pmI'm sorry, do you lot have any idea where you are? This is Hogwarts, and it is a magic school, in case you've all forgotten. Since when did Muggle entertainment justify a club, much less two of them?
A lot of you have NEWTs coming up, and you're going to spend your time kicking balls around on the grass? You deserve to fail.
[Filtered to Slytherin]
Get me some first-years.
