Are the unattached masses really so insecure about it that they have to be fretting over Saint Valentine's already? By having the forethought to insist that you don't care two weeks ahead of time, you're being contradictory. And of course, mind-numbingly irritating.

As for me, I only wish that I could be home for it. My father tends to brood.

Uh huh. And you're gonna be the first one to listen to me. [He laughed through his nose, folding his arm behind his head. His eyes darted downward for a second, but he cleared his throat and turned his gaze toward the center of the room instead.]

[He rolled his eyes.] You have no idea how much I wish I could tell you to do something and you'd do it. Hell, I wish half the kids in Slytherin would listen to me for once. I'd call that an accomplishment.

Mmmhmm. [Lili bent over a bit further and grabbed the chair's armrests, as she looked straight at him, trying to trap his gaze.] You know Slytherins, we make our own rules. Didn't you know what you were getting into?

I was your age once. I get it. I raised hell. I was rude. And I'm still pretty sure I'm the only one qualified to keep you kids in line. [He leaned further back, practically balancing his chair on the back two legs.]

Are you? As far as I can tell, you're doing an awful job at it. [At which point, Lili tipped the chair over, sending Yukimi falling towards the floor. Just as quickly, she was on top of him, her hair falling down over his face as she leaned in next to him again.] Just awful.

[The impact with the ground nearly knocked the wind out of him, but the pain he felt in his back was nothing compared to the panic he felt when Lili ended up on top of him.] No no no no no no. This can't happen. [He grabbed her shoulder, pushing her away from him.]

[Lili's hands grabbed his shoulders in return, trying to maintain her position. As it was, she could always just lean to his armless side, rendering his almost-struggle useless.] Do you think I've never caught you staring? How long are you planning on tiptoeing over the line?

Yeah, let's just ignore the fact that you flaunt it in everyone's face. [This was ridiculous. Was he really going to really have to say that he was overtaken by a teenage girl?] I'll admit it. You're attractive, but that doesn't mean anything's gonna happen.

So you want to, but you're not? [Lili was closing in, within distance to breathe her words into his ear.] I can keep a secret. I have hundreds.

That's not... entirely true. [Her proximity sent a shiver through his body.] Stop doing things. I'm supposed to be reprimanding you. This isn't how these talks are supposed to happen.

It's not untrue, either, then. [Her lips captured Yukimi's earlobe, giving it a rough tug.] I'm bored with chatting.

[Well, all coherent thoughts and sentences were going out the window anyway. And she wasn't even listening to him. He had completely lost control of the situation and wondered if he even had it to begin it.]

[As she spoke, she trailed her lips around his jaw until they hovered just above his.] Relax. It's time to stop worrying. It won't be fun if you don't respond.

[He probably would've tried to argue his way out again or at least been more assertive, but the only thing that came to mind was:] It's going to be really awkward tomorrow..

Only if you make it that way. [She wasn't going to say anything else on the matter, and if she could help it, neither would he. Lili's lips pressed against his forcefully, one hand roaming to the back of his neck.]

[He knew he lost this battle before it even began, but even with just a kiss, Yukimi could feel the excuses, lies, and guilt that were going to be hanging around him for a while. Well.. what difference would it make now? He returned the kiss, reaching up to place his hand on her back and pull her closer.]

[Aaaaaaand victory. She let out a pleased hum against his mouth, happily pressing against him as prompted.]

[He knew what that meant and what this could possibly turn into. But was he going to give her the benefit by turning this into a power struggle? Maybe, but only by accident. They certainly clashed over everything else. First things first, though. He pulled his leg up and kicked the chair out from under him, sending it across the floor.]

[Well, she did love a power struggle, but it was hardly necessary. Putting up much more of a fight would make the entire situation a bit more questionable than even she was comfortable with. She landed after the second fall with a soft sigh, which was much more suggestive than was called for, and used to opportunity to let her hands wander.]
